Review of the TinyML EMEA Forum: The seeds have been planted, time for the EMEA ecosystem to sustainably grow!

The inaugural tinyML EMEA took place online from June 7th to June 10th. During the online event, the EMEA tinyML Community came together in order to find out about the tinyML movement, and research and innovation activities that take place in the EMEA region. The event’s success was reflected in the 1500+ registrants, and the 300+ attendees during the live sessions each day. During this talk, the forum’s Technical Chairs, Theo Theocharides and Peter Debacker will provide a summary of the activities that included tutorials, keynotes from industry and academia, tinytalks and partner sessions highlighting research and development across the EMEA region, a student research forum, and a networking session featuring talks from policy makers, success stories and directions on how the community can come together to promote the sustainable growth of the tinyML movement in the EMEA region. Further, Theo and Peter will share their views, and list the identified challenges, opportunities and emerging policies that are expected to shape the movement’s growth in the next few years in Europe, Africa and the Middle East as identified in the exciting panel that also took place as part of the EMEA forum.
