How can we find real uses for tinyML?

A lot of us are excited by the new possibilities that running machine learning on small, low-cost, low-energy chips creates, but for our work to be sustainable we need customers who will pay for what we’re building. It’s fair to say that these use cases haven’t emerged as quickly as expected. So, why is that? and more fundamentally, how can we address the challenges we face in launching ML products?

In this talk, Pete will share his experiences working with customers, and the surprising challenges he has encountered in areas like predictive maintenance, consumer electronics, and some product categories where there does seem to be commercial demand for tinyML solutions. Finally, Pete will summarize his thoughts with a clear Call to Action for the tinyML community to address the challenges and opportunities before us.
