how would I put text in the center of a landmark circle? If I use "palm" or "palm[0]", i get an error and it crashes, if I use "hand[0], the text floats along side of the center of the landmark of [0]. How do I get it to be part of the circle printed center of the circle?

Hi Paul – I am legend almost…I'm really enjoying this as it seems a real move into AI type processing. I used a relative position calc to create a 'model' for the 21×21 pts. That he leading diagonal =0 as yours was and then have -1 or 1 or 0 for an element depending if its value is higher or lower or equal to the equivalent 'live' image. In this calc matrix I put all the x values above the leading diagonal and the y values below. I then add all the total elements that are equal between the live and the model matrices to give it a score and have a 5% tol on that. Seems to work great. I save the model gestures and names to file using pickle. So the resultant contains 10 model matrices of eg High Five – so at different distances and orientations and so on for different gestures which are created and added easily. I think I'll have to combine all the relevant gesture matrices to one matrix because the models file will get too big to iterate through quickly enough. At the moment I iterate through and break when I get a match within 3.5%. Works great so far although does struggle sometimes so I need to improve it somehow by looking at key points maybe instead.. Looking forward to seeing how distances work out. Thanks again for the inspiration!
I think hand gestures would be best handled in the same way that face recognition works where you train a pickle file with various faces to recognize, I wonder if that would require some big fancy library, or if someone as skilled as your self could build a program to handle hand gestures in the same manner?
I'm finding that location on the screen as well as distance from the screen changes the error. It'll be interesting to see how we correct that.
I just finished catching up to lesson 24 yesterday, as lesson 25 premiered today. So I haven't had a chance to do the homework assignment yet. But I was going to install tensorflow and learn how to utilize that for hand gestures.
